Project overview

We’re upgrading the sewer pump station in Rotary Park, Gisborne with a new, high-capacity sewage storage tank.

The new tank will:

  • protect the environment by reducing the risk of overflows
  • double the station’s capacity to support Gisborne's growing population
  • improve the pump station's performance and efficiency.
  • How long will the works take?

    Works will start in April 2025 and will be completed by December 2025.

  • When will works take place?

    Construction crews will work during the day from Monday to Friday between 7am and 5pm.

  • Construction noise and dust

    There will be construction noise and dust from machinery and vehicles during working hours.

    Noise during construction will be in line with Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Victoria guidelines.

  • Changes to access and parking

    There will be some parking changes during the works.

    Car parking for will be unavailable whilst we complete the project.

    Please consider alternative parking for events days.

    You may see some machinery, site sheds and materials located in the road reserve parallel to Rotary Park.

  • Changes to traffic conditions

    There may be some changes to local traffic conditions to allow machinery and crew access to the site.

    Traffic controllers will be on site to help vehicles, cyclists and pedestrians safely navigate the area.
