Project Overview

The Lancefield sewer main renewal will improve the network to ensure we can maintain reliable sewer services for those who live, work or recreate in the area. 

We'll be working along a 6.5 kilometre section of the main on Lancefield-Tooborac Road, Lancefield-Kilmore Road and Racecourse Road. We will do this work in stages to minimise disruption.

The project will be completed in two stages:

• Early investigation works commenced 18 September 2023 on the Lancefield to Tooborac Road and on the Lancefield to Kilmore Road. This work informed the design of our new pipeline and ensure we have identified other assets that may lie below the surface.
• Construction of the new main will begin once we have gathered information from early investigation works in January 2024. We will provide you with further notification before we start this work.

We respect the culture and heritage of the community. We are taking every measure to preserve biodiversity along the Avenue of Honour and project alignment.

Work may cause dust or noise in the area, but we'll do our best to keep this to a minimum.

There will be some temporary minor changes to traffic, such as reduced speeds so please allow extra time to arrive safely at your destination.

A traffic management crew will be onsite to help keep everyone safe. Water and sewerage services will not be impacted.
