To support ongoing work activities on Wurundjeri Way, we need to complete some urgent sewer maintenance on Flinders Street. See map on the next page for location details.

Timing: Sunday 7 December to Thursday 11 December.

Construction hours: 1.30am to 5.30am Sunday to Thursday

Why do we need to do this work at night?

We need to work at night to:

reduce disruption to trams in the busy Melbourne CBD

access the sewer while flows are at their lowest during the night

What to expect during this work

• From Sunday 7 December for 1 to 3 nights, we will need to use a vacuum truck to clean the sewer, which produces a moderate level of noise. We will limit this noisy activity as much as possible. Other activities following this are not expected to be noisy.
• There will be some traffic lanes closed. Roads will remain open with traffic management in place to help vehicles move safely around our construction. Outside of working hours, lanes will reopen to traffic
• You will see trucks and other construction equipment at our worksite.
• Tram services will not be affected.
• There will be no changes to your water or sewerage services.
